danceMELA is an online PC game which lets you create your own 3D character. With an Internet connection, you can chat with other players, take part in dance competitions, listen to Bollywood music in your own virtual room and even buy new clothes for your 3D character!

To play danceMELA you need to install the game on your PC. You can download the game (800 MB in size) or you can register below and we will send you a FREE CD containing the full game!

Welcome to the danceMELA quick-start guide, which will help you get dancing in double-quick time!

Double-click on the danceMELA Icon on your Desktop

To play danceMELA, click on 'India' and then click 'Enter'.

Account: Enter the Login ID you created during registration.

Password: This is the same as your Kreeda Password

If you haven't Registered yet, please Click on the Register link on the game Screen, or Click Here to Register on our website.

All Kreeda Games and Services use the same Avatar/Account name and Password

Attend the Beginner's Class to learn the basics, it's really easy!

Dance Lesson

(1) Dance Lessons are available in both Hindi and English

(2) The Lessons: The Lessons will teach you the danceMELA basics

You must Pass the 4 Lessons to complete the course.

The danceMELA Controls

1. Place Left Hand near the 'A' and 'S' Keys, Right Hand near the 'Up Arrow' and 'Left Arrow' keys.

2. Play by hitting the keys at the right time

W or Up Arrow:	S or Down Arrow:
A or Left Arrow:	D or Right Arrow:

Once inside the Classroom follow the audio instructions.

Don't worry if you don't pass the first time. There's always ATKT ;)

Channel Screen: Room Selection

Once you've completed the Beginner's Class, you will come back to the Server Selection Screen

Click on “Beginner Dancing Zone” , then the first available “Channel” and click “Enter”

(1) Channel Selection: The Bar indicates how full the channel is.

(2) danceMELA can be played with either the Keyboard or a Dance Pad. During the Closed Beta only the Keyboard version is available.

The Channel Lobby

Quick Join: The Quick Join button allows you to join the first available room. When you click Quick Join you will be given 2 choices - Multiplayer Mode & Boys vs Girls. We recommend New Players choose Multiplayer Mode

New Room: The New Room button allows you to create your own room where you will be the Room Host.
You will be prompted to enter a Room name and Password. To give everyone has access to your room do not enter a password.

Dance Waiting Room

If you are not the Room Host, Click 'Ready' and wait for the Host to start the game

If you are the Host: To Setup the room, click 'Settings'.

Multiplayer Mode and Boys vs Girls

(1) Game Mode. You may Choose Multiplayer Mode or Boys vs Girls. Exciting new modes will be added in the future

(2) Dance Formation: The Dancers will appear in this formation.

(3) Choose the Song! The Room host gets to decide which song everyone in the room will dance to.

(4) Are you a new player? We recommend you choose Multiplayer Mode till you get the hang of the game

In-game

Great! You're in the game now.
Remember your dance lessons, and get the timing right.

Your game score depends on your Timing.
Depending on how accurate you are, you will get one of the following events
- Perfect You've hit the key just right. The more keys you hit in a row, the more you dance
- Cool You're timing's not perfect, but it will do
- Bad You've almost missed.
- Miss You've completely missed the key. Keep trying to get that “Perfect”

(1) The Life Bar: Your Life Bar reduces everytime you 'Miss' a key. When the Life Bar gets over so does your game.

(2) The Arrow Bar: Hit the correct Direction key when the moving arrow (which comes up from the bottom of your screen) overlaps these gray arrows.
We strongly recommend that you attend the Beginners Class before playing the game.

How do I Register a FREE Account at Kreeda / danceMELA so I can play?
First, you only need ONE account to play any Kreeda game, so if you have one already, you can play now. If you haven't registered for danceMELA, it's easy and should only take a few minutes.
Just click on the button to the left called 'Register', or Click Here.

What are the game controls and how do they work?
danceMELA is extremely simple to play.
1. Extend your Left Hand and Right Hand over the keyboard.
2. Place Left Hand near the “A” and “S” Keys
3. Place Right Hand near the and → keys
4. Play by hitting the keys at the right time

Left Hand: A, S Right Hand: UP Arrow, RIGHT Arrow

Alternatively, you may use the following keys A or LEFT Arrow, W or UP Arrow, S or DOWN Arrow, D or RIGHT Arrow. Many of the best players use their own favorite combination of keys. Our default setup allows you to use two hands, which most players find is easier than doing all the moves with only one hand. However, if you open the Options (the Yellow Wrench) window in the game, you can choose whichever four keys you want to use.

How do I go Shopping and buy items?
Go to the Item Store. For the duration of the Closed Beta items can only be bought using Mela Points. Be careful however, some items have restrictions, like you need to be a certain level before you can use them.
-Log into danceMELA.
-Choose the Kreeda Server.
-Click on the Shop Button to your right.

-You can buy anything for yourself. Just click 'BUY'.
-You can also buy gifts for your friends. Just click 'GIFT'. (You will need to enter their game name.)
-You can even ask someone else to buy an item for you. Just click BUY, then under Payment Method, choose "Ask a Buddy to Pay for You" and enter their game name. If they say yes, the item is yours.

I bought Clothes/Items, where are they? And how do I use them?
Go to My Room/My Home. You can access My Room/Home directly from the Shopping Menu or from the Map (click Map from the game Lobby). Once in the Room, click on the Closet/Cupboard on the left of your screen. All the clothes you've bought will be available here. Choose the clothing items you want to wear and double click on them to make your Avatar wear them.
Other non-clothing items can be found in the in the drawers near the closet, called “My Items.” While you're there, click around the room and check out the other features.

What is a Dance Room and how do I make one?
A Dance Room is where you hang out, chat, socialize and get ready to Dance. You can join one that’s already rockin’ or you can create your own. Just choose “New Room,” give it a name you like, and you’re ready for action. If you want it just for you and your friends, add a password. Otherwise, leave it wide open to all players and make new friends!
You can tell how full a room is by looking at the little icons for people in each one. Each room can hold up to 6 people, though some people can hang out in the room as Viewers who aren’t actually participating in the dancing. The Host of each room can determine how many Viewers are allowed in the room, from zero to 10. Don’t want to create your own room? In a hurry to get in the dance floor? No problem. Just click "QUICK JOIN" and you will join an open room.
Note: It's good manners to click READY quickly so that the others in the room don't have to wait for you.

Sometimes I get a “Game Over” message while I'm playing the game? Why does that happen?
When you hit the keys at the right time, your character dances and you get points. However, when you get a “Miss” your Life Bar decreases. You can see your life bar on the top of your screen while playing a game. It's the Red bar on top of the arrows. Every time you Miss, the life bar decreases. When the Life bar gets empty, you get the “Game Over” message.

What are experience points? / How do I level up?
At the end of every game (if you've played well) you get some Exp (experience) points. These points add up and allow you to gain levels. When you receive a certain number of EXP points your Avatar's Level increases.
Having a higher level allows you to wear exclusive clothes that can only be worn by Avatars of a certain level.

Why does my Character get fat?
You need to keep practicing and dancing or else your character will get fatter. We will soon introduce fast slimming pills in the Shop, so keep an eye out for them.

How do I change my danceMELA Avatar's Name/gender?
Your danceMELA Avatar's name and gender cannot be changed. If you want a new Avatar Name or want to change your gender, you need to create a new account.

What if I want a certain Song Added?
We need all the feedback we can get on songs. Head over to the Feedback Section and tell us what you like and what you don't.
